brewing-information Description

To produce a crisp and refreshing glass of iced tea, you need to start with a base tea formulated to brew up clean, clear and flavorful. With this in mind, we have created a special hand-crafted blend of robust teas from Sri Lanka, Taiwan, China and Indonesia. When combined, brewed and chilled, these black teas will make a refreshing glass of premium iced tea every time!

This loose-leaf blend yields a full, rich flavor with superior clarity. After brewing and allowed to chill, you can garnish with fruit pieces or mint. We prefer it straight, but this base tea turns any flavors you add into the most amazing iced tea you have ever tasted.

Brewing Tips: To make a great tasting glass of premium iced tea, brew one quart of cold, filtered water for every 6 tea bags or 6 teaspoons of loose tea used. Remember that you make iced tea stronger than regular hot tea to compensate for ice dilution. Once the water has come to a boil, pour it directly over the tea and steep Green Teas for 3 minutes and Black Teas for 5 minutes. Remove the teabags or strain the loose tea out of the teapot. Let the brewed tea cool down to room temperature before adding ice. Chilling the tea after it has cooled helps keep the brew’s appearance clear. If tea clouds immediately following brewing, lower the water’s brewing temperature.

    Better than Red Rose

Red Rose tea has long been my favorite for iced tea. (Only for ICED tea.). None of the whole leaf teas tasted quite right. This blend actually gets the flavor right, though. The more I drink it the better I like it. Definitely worth a try if you’re an iced tea addict like me.

    Wonderful flavor

I make my ice by the cold brew method and the flavor was excellent, but the color needs to be darker.

This is a very refreshing iced tea. I make 2 large containers every week. It's a very popular drink in this house, and this tea is so much better than any other I have purchased in quite a while.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take for my order to ship?

We strive to ship orders within 2-3 days of receipt. However, due to the handcrafted nature of our products, combined with inventory limitations, some orders may take longer to ship. If there is a significant delay in shipping your order, we will contact you directly with details.

Are your teas cultivated naturally? Are they Organic?

All our teas are sourced from tea estates, suppliers and importers that we have personally worked with for decades and many for generations! We only purchase teas that have been cultivated naturally, devoid of pesticides and growth agents.

Teas that have the term “Organic” in the products name have gone through additional certification by the country or origin and USFDA. Even though all our products are natural, we are unable to list them as Organic unless they have gone through these steps. Sometimes, this certification can be costly and time consuming for growers. Each country has different regulations, so many sell the teas to us without this extra labeling.

How long does tea stay fresh?

If sealed properly and stored away from extreme hot/cold temps and moisture, tea will stay as flavorful as the day you bought it, even after 18 months.

How long should I brew my tea?

Tea brewing times and water temperature can vary between tea varieties. Please consult this link to find the best method for your tea!
