Having tried the English, Irish and Scottish breakfast teas, I place the blue ribbon on Irish breakfast . They are all superb but this blend has a full bodied, smooth taste that is unrivaled. In college I lived with guys from India and they always drank their tea with milk (never cream) and sugar. To me this enhances the flavor of this tea. Many people don't like tea because they drank it straight (no milk or sugar) and remember how it tasted like "medicine" when they were kids (at least that's my experience). I hardly drink coffee anymore after finding Irish breakfast tea and it can be enjoyed at any time of the day. (Posted on 4/3/2018)

I love Irish Breakfast tea with milk in the mornings and the MTW Irish Breakfast is superb. It is bright, malty, complex and satisfying. It is one notch above other Irish teas that I've tasted. I even love drinking it in the afternoons! Original Review Submitted: 9/3/17 (Posted on 10/25/2017)

I was literally raised on this tea and it is as delicious and invigorating in the morning now as it was when I was a kid. Original Review Submitted: 7/25/12 (Posted on 10/25/2017)

Irish Breakfast

Our unique blend of small and large leaf Assam teas has been a tea lover's favorite for years. Comprised of full-bodied Assam teas, our blend has been designed as a strong tea that will invigorate you in the morning and help you to start your day off right. When brewed, it produces a cup with a brisk flavor and an undertone of dark, richly fermented malt. Due to its strength, Irish Breakfast tea is commonly served with milk, but some prefer to drink it with lemon or sugar or straight.

Brewing Tips: Irish Breakfast tea should be made with cold, filtered water that has been brought to a rolling boil (205-212° F). Using one rounded teaspoon of loose tea or one teabag for each cup required, pour the boiling water over the tea leaves. Irish Breakfast tea should be steeped for 4-5 minutes. Once the ideal brewing time has been reached, the leaves should be removed to prevent further steeping. Decant and enjoy!
