Overview of Cheericup Ceylon

Our whole leaf Ceylon is a strong tea with a full, almost brisk flavor. One of our oldest offerings, Cheericup Ceylon is a unique blend of seven high and low grown estate teas from the island country of Sri Lanka. When brewed, the bright and sparkling liquor has a sweet and distinct taste that makes for the perfect afternoon tea.

Our Cheericup Ceylon should be made with cold, filtered water that has been brought to a rolling boil (205-212° F). Using one rounded teaspoon of loose tea or one teabag for each cup required, pour the boiling water over the tea leaves. Cheericup Ceylon should be steeped for 4-5 minutes. Once the ideal brewing time has been reached, the leaves should be removed to prevent further steeping. Decant and enjoy!

Great tasting strong tea!

This is my 2nd favorite tea offered by Mark Wendell Tea. (Mountain Kenya is #1.)
Cheericup Ceylon has a great flavor and much less caffeine than Mountain Kenya, so it is a perfect tea for late nights. This tea offers a deeply satisfying flavor and great aroma that can be enjoyed at any time!

Delightful!

I have enjoyed this tea for decades. It has a bright, delightful taste. If I don't drink it for awhile then return to it, I am always surprised at how much I love it. I've never found a better Ceylon tea.

Cheericup makes a good, consistent cup of tea. I can drink it every day, and not get tired of it. It's attractive in the cup, the aroma is fresh and invigorating, the flavor is refreshing and more subtle than equivalent teas. Cheericup is also very forgiving -- let it steep a couple of minutes too long and it will be drinkable, or let it steep for only two and a half minutes because you're late for work and it still tastes acceptable.

Yes, I drink those expensive high-end teas -- but I also go through about two pounds of Cheericup a year.
