Welcome
to our selection of Scented Teas. A majority of Jasmine teas
are made with a pouchong, or semi-fermented tea base.
Pouchong tea has reacted with the air for a shorter period
of time than black teas and a longer period of time than
green teas, creating a varying leaf style and taste from
other tea categories. This type of tea is gently touched
with Jasmine blossoms picked at the peak of their bloom.
Earl Grey is a delicately scented blend of large leaf black
teas and oil of Bergamot. Pearl Jasmine is a unique green
tea that is hand rolled into tiny compressed balls. All
scented teas have an aroma that makes them truly unique to
other tea varieties.

Brewing Tips: Since our scented
teas are comprised of varying base teas, their brewing times
and water temperatures will be different. Earl Grey, China
Jasmine and Yin Hao Jasmine should be made with cold,
filtered water that has been brought to a rolling boil (205°
F). Using one rounded teaspoon of loose tea or one teabag
for each cup required, pour the boiling water over the tea
leaves. Earl Grey should be steeped for 5 minutes and China
Jasmine & Yin Hao Jasmine should be steeped for 4 minutes.
Downy Pearl Jasmine and Foojoy Gold Jasmine Silver Pearls
should be made with water that has boiled and then allowed
to cool for just under a minute. They should than be allowed
to steep for 3-4 minutes. Once the ideal brewing time has
been reached, the leaves should be removed to prevent
further steeping.
