This organic green tea offering is a very popular style of Chinese green tea. When brewed, Chun Mee, also known as “precious eyebrow” tea, has a remarkable and distinctive plum-like flavor.

Our Organic Chun Mee green tea offering combines this unique flavor profile with a smooth and sweet aroma that is sure to please. Containing less caffeine than traditional black teas, green teas are also high in healthy antioxidants!

Brewing Tips: Our Organic Chun Mee Green tea should be made with cold, filtered water that has been brought to a boil and then allowed to cool for 1 minute (170-180° F). Using one rounded teaspoon of loose leaf tea or one teabag for each cup required, pour the boiling water over the green tea leaves. Our Organic Chun Mee Green tea should be steeped for 2-3 minutes. Once the ideal brewing time has been reached, the leaves should be removed to prevent further steeping. Decant your green tea and enjoy!

1 pound of loose leaf tea will make approximately 160 cups of brewed tea

    K. Parr's gives an excellent description in the previous review. This is my everyday tea. I have tried other green teas, but much prefer this one because of its slightly astringent character. It does not leave a sweet taste in the mouth. It is my breakfast tea and also my late-afternoon tea. I agree that it leaves a slight sediment even with a fine strainer, but this doesn't at all detract from the drink.

Chun Mee leaves are a lovely dark green with blue undertones, dense, flat, and on the small size. My fine strainer leaves a tiny amount of sediment at the bottom of the cup, due to escaping leaf particles, which may have become prematurely crushed by my handling of the sample bag.

A rounded (2 g) teaspoon in a 6-ounce cup is my favorite ratio, producing a full-bodied, brisk, golden-green liquor with a slight peppery sensation. Each sip makes my tongue tingle pleasantly. I recently went on a green tea sample bender at MTW, and I will purchase a full size of Chum Mee in my next order. This is a great tea for the first cup of the day, and the following 1-2 infusions with the same leaves are just as tasty, albeit a touch less brisk.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take for my order to ship?

We strive to ship orders within 2-3 days of receipt. However, due to the handcrafted nature of our products, combined with inventory limitations, some orders may take longer to ship. If there is a significant delay in shipping your order, we will contact you directly with details.

Are your teas cultivated naturally? Are they Organic?

All our teas are sourced from tea estates, suppliers and importers that we have personally worked with for decades and many for generations! We only purchase teas that have been cultivated naturally, devoid of pesticides and growth agents.

Teas that have the term “Organic” in the products name have gone through additional certification by the country or origin and USFDA. Even though all our products are natural, we are unable to list them as Organic unless they have gone through these steps. Sometimes, this certification can be costly and time consuming for growers. Each country has different regulations, so many sell the teas to us without this extra labeling.

How long does tea stay fresh?

If sealed properly and stored away from extreme hot/cold temps and moisture, tea will stay as flavorful as the day you bought it, even after 18 months.

How long should I brew my tea?

Tea brewing times and water temperature can vary between tea varieties. Please consult this link to find the best method for your tea!
